The Nationalism Pledge of India

(Take this pledge today and come together to make India No 1)

Today I pledge to be a good citizen of India.

I love my country. It has given me everything - a free place to live, to work and to create a good life for myself and my loved ones. I realize that my country is facing some problems and challenges. I pledge to commit myself to the nation and work in unity with other citizens to make India the most developed, most happy, most beautiful and the best place on earth.

-          I pledge myself to nationalism. I will love my country above everything else. I will never do anything that can ever directly or indirectly harm my country. I will keep national interest highest and will not allow any selfish or narrow interest above national interest. 

-          I pledge myself to unity and peace. I will not hate anyone or discriminate on the basis of religion, caste, region, language, economic status or color. All Indians are my brothers and sisters. I will stop others peacefully who try to create hatred or divide among people on the basis of religion, caste, region, language, economic status or color. I will respect others and their right to live. I will promote the spirit of unity, tolerance and co-operation. 

-          I pledge myself to develop self respect and respect of my country. I will respect other nations but along with other citizens of India will oppose strongly if they show disrespect to my country or my fellow citizens through words or deeds. 

-          I pledge myself to fulfill my duties and responsibilities. I will sincerely cast my vote every time not on the basis of religion, caste, region, language, gender or choice of political party but only one basis of ‘goodness’ of the candidate. I will work hard to give my best to my country. I will contribute towards all round development of India.

-          I pledge myself to discipline.  I will live as a law abiding citizen ranging from traffic rules to higher laws of the country. I will respect and co-operate with authorities and institutions. I will stop others from breaking laws but through peaceful means.

-          I pledge myself to honesty and integrity. I will pay my due taxes on time. I will refrain from any act of cheating or dishonesty. I will be accountable for my spirit and deeds. I will always say NO to corruption.

-          I pledge myself to justice. I will remain right-minded and develop courage to make sure that there is fairness and justice around me and in society. I will fight against injustice but through peaceful manners. I will be just to my fellow citizens especially children, women and elderly.

-          I pledge myself to the culture of India. I am proud of its richness in culture and heritage. I will do the best to preserve and enhance the rich culture of India. 

-          I pledge myself to wisdom. I will become aware and knowledgeable. I will live an organized life and uphold the system and organization in society. I will never create chaos or disruption in society. I will use higher knowledge towards own and country’s development. I will promote healthy lifestyle, happy family and friendly neighborhood. 

-          I pledge myself to make a beautiful and clean India. I will develop good civic sense and will help others in the same. I will keep my surroundings clean. I will cooperate with other citizens and government to keep India natural resources and environment safe and clean. I will co-operate with authorities to make India a green and beautiful country. 

-          I pledge myself to good work culture. I will become efficient and accountable. I will work hard to realize my best potential.

-          I pledge myself to help and support under privileged and disaster stuck to my best capacity.

-          I pledge to fight personal, social and national maladies like drugs, sexual harassment & rapes, rising crimes, blind religious faith, communalism, terrorism, corruption, poverty, over population, lack of education, inequality and discrimination, poor infrastructure, etc. 

    I pledge to be a Good Indian.

This is time for nation to look for a better system of political governance which is free from party system based negative politics.

Why do we need to move ahead of party based politics?

- It does more harm than good
Needless to say anything about it. Division in society, corruption, communalism, regionalism, casteism, crimes and other evils directly and indirectly grow under party system. Parties use negative issues for selfish gain and protect own people to save party image. Collective hunger for power over shadows important issues of nation. Indecent behavior, bad language, abuses all gets protection of party power. Corruption and crime tainted wrong people reach constitutional houses and deserving people are left out.

- It remains minority government
Parties get maximum about 35 - 40% votes and they rule. Infact this remains a minority government. They are rejected by majority of population.

- It deprives nation of consistency of positivity and policies
Every party set its own agenda its own policies just to show how different they are. There is no consistency of national policies. In this modern world there is worldwide development of policies of human administration. National interest should be decided by consensus not by party ideology. National growth gets seriously affected by such inconsistency.

- Party ideology shadows national ideology
Every party try to color national environment in its own color. This is even reflected in school books. The national ideology gets confused and distorted.

- It deprives nation of talent
In addition to ministries, party places its own people at all major positions. Those who are more talented and can do real good work for nation do not get opportunity. Nation suffers.

Therefore in national interest, people of India must come together to generate a system which replaces party politics and help independent efficient, honest and sincere people reach the constitutional houses. People need representatives to work for nation. There is need for a non political platform which can inform people about good non party candidates to vote for. One such plat form can be:

S - Skillful - Representatives will be skillful, efficient, educated and experienced.
A - Accountable - Representatives will be accountable to nation and will do everything only for people and nation's welfare.
C - Caring - Representatives will be caring and compassionate for all sections of society.
H - Honest - Representatives will be spotless honest and transparent.

This platform is to be formed by non political people of India who are concerned about nation. This platform will identify such representatives from every constituency and guide people to vote for such non party clean and deserving candidates.

This platform will lay down minimum standard for representatives.

- Skill - Representative must have minimum higher school education for basic representation and graduation for any ministry. They must have basic knowledge of constitution. They must have done some human welfare or social work in that constituency or extra ordinary work in some other place or good work in a field that can help in better policy making or better administration.

- Accountability - Representatives must give affidavit about their accountability towards nation and people of India. All their intentions, words and deeds must be towards nationalism and welfare of nation. They will be accountable for administrative and development work and must present their work once a year. Representatives will be accountable for social and national unity and elimination of communalism, casteism and regional divide.

- Caring - Representatives must have good track record of being caring and compassionate towards all sections of society through affidavit, words, and deeds.They must show active initiative in looking after problems and needs of people.

- Honesty - Representatives must have spotless record of honesty and must be completely free from any spot of corruption, crime or communalism. Smallest allegation must be investigated and tried in fast track courts to prove either innocent or guilty. Untill proved innocent they must be relieved from any public duty.

- Elections - Representatives will not fight election through money power. There will be no advertisements or big rallies. Only SACH internet platform, specified media discussions, word of mouth and locality based public meetings will be used for spreading information about credentials of representatives. Representatives will present only their work or proposals and will refrain from making any reference to opposing candidate.Those already elected to national or state legislative bodies especially those in government should not campaign in elections as the ministers, chief minister and prime minister belong to entire population and should be above divided interest.

- Elected representatives will give affidavit that they will never join or form any political party.

- Elected representatives must give affidavit for contribution towards humanistic, modern, nation and people centric policies.

SACH National Policies
SACH will lay down basic core of national policies through national consensus. These policies will lay down ongoing course of national development in right direction with right speed and consistency. This will remove confusion from mind of citizens, business community and investors. Elected representatives will commit them self towards these policies as nation's road map for sustained development.

- Nationalism - Nationalism is about commitment towards national interest. It is not about slogans or debates. National integrity, national integration and national development must be the goal. There must be a commitment to safeguard motherland and regain lost part nation as in Kashmir through peaceful but committed measures.

- Expert Opinion  - In all fields top experts must come together to form a national advisory board. Experts in these bodies will decide on crucial issues by consensus or voting.

- Development - Nation must set development targets based on International indexes and work towards them.

- Harmony - Nation must eliminate communalism, casteism and regional divide. Religion must be citizen's private affair. All reservations must be ended in time bound manner.

- Human Resource - Top priority to be given to human resource development through shelter, education, healthcare and work opportunities.

- Economy - National economic policies through consensus towards loan free self reliant prosperous India.  Emphasis should be on industrialization, exports, research, tourism, service industry, cottage industry, agriculture, knowledge based industry to generate jobs and faster growth.. FDI must be limited to infrastructure development. Wealth must be fairly distributed among citizens.

- National assets - Natural resources must be declared national assets.

- Foreign Policy - Foreign Policy of mutual respect, cooperation and strategic alliance in interest of national honor and national growth.


Time for Nation Building.  It is for people of India to rise and work.......

What shameless existence.

India suffers from enormous deficiencies - poverty, illiteracy, corruption, crimes, communalism, regionalism, dirty living conditions and so on. But strange that the people of India are patting on their own back, clapping for themselves and singing songs in own praise. Delusion is getting bigger and bigger.

Why this?   We compare with anarchic states and feel good. We cite small development here & there and get excited. We make excuses of short age of independence and get satisfied. When nothing works, say 'Oh yes there are some problems and we are working good on them' and feel even more satisfied. But what is the meaning of this satisfaction when major section of population is deprived of basic necessities of life, crime rate is rising, social harmony is low, people are shifting towards a meaningless useless life filled with self centered greed, lust & no integrity, family system is crumbling and spirituality has become business. Infact this satisfaction is the root cause of all problems. We have conditioned our self to live in filthy conditions - filthy conditions spiritual mental emotional physical social all of them. Human development is in regression. Wisdom is obsolete, common sense is extinct, courage is alien and integrity is impossible. And we are satisfied.

Unimaginable  that this is the land where once lived great souls like Chanakya, Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Subhash Chandra Bose, Homi Jahangir Bhabha, Ramanujam, J C Bose, C V Raman, Rabindra Nath Tagore, Guru Nanak, Guru Gobind Singh, Shivaji, Vivekananda, Bhagat Singh, Laxmibai, B R Ambedkar and many more. What is the use of having history of oldest & greatest civilization. What is the point in being BORN in India.

Ironic that people today show that they are so angry against gang-rapes, corruption. But who is responsible. It is us, the people of India. Stop blaming politicians. It is our country and we have created the conditions we live in today. We are responsible for corruption, for rapes, for poverty, for illiteracy, for communalism, for filthy conditions everything. We are living but we are not alive.

It is time to be alive, awake and arise. Uthasthi Bharatha.

Be accountable.
Have love and passion for India.
Shed differences.
Develop and give your best to life.
Give up lethargy.
Contribute towards true development of India.

Swaraj - The Model for Modern Glorified India

It is not easy to govern more than 1.2 billion people. The system we have today is not bad. It has performed reasonably well. But at the same time it has left many things undone and poorly done due to deficiencies and abuse. Unfortunately there is too much talking but too little action. There is a huge distance between government and common people of the country. We need a better system now which improves keeping pace with time and at the same time provides good platform for meaningful development and eradication of problems. 

It is crucial to have active participation of citizens for any system to be successful. And this participation should be constant not merely casting vote once in five years. Experience of prominent people in various fields should be well utilized in policy making and development schemes. This will improve efficiency and effectiveness of governance.

Here is one such model which can help our beloved India to be No 1. It is called Swaraj Model because it is based on people’s active participation.

Resolve -  We the people of India resolve to govern our self through active participation in order to progress as a secure, developed, successful and happy nation.

Power Balance - The trio of Government, President and  Federations will create a better balance of power.

Election 

Municipal and Panchayat Level - Elections must be made non political immediately. This will stop abuse of power at lowest level by political parties. 

National and State Level -  Term to be reduced to four year. Elections must be held simultaneously for national and all states and union territories. This will save money and help nation to focus on sustained development.

Elections must be free from muscle and money power abuse. No advertising or big rallies to be allowed. Only locality based meetings, specified display boards, collective or specified media interactions, their own websites and SACH website must be the mode of information spread. Those already elected to national or state legislative bodies especially those in government should not campaign in elections as the ministers, chief minister and prime minister belong to entire population and should be above divided interest.

No tainted person ( of corruption communalism castesim or any other illegal anti social or immoral activity) must be allowed in constitutional houses.

There should be no political party. Every constituency should elect three people to three bodies of government. A person should get nominated by people to fight election. A person from that zone or at least from that region who has done significant welfare work or some other prominent work can get nominated.

President  - President must be elected directly by the people. President should nominate the ministers but only that person who has done some significant work in that field.

Constitution - Constitution must be the core and it must be rewritten once every fifty years to make it better functioning with growing times.

The Governing body - This should be three layered body. The Law making body, The Government and The Monitoring body. They should be separate and independent of each other so that they can work efficiently and effectively. Those in Law making body and Monitoring body should not hold any other post whatsoever. The Federations should play the role of Monitoring body.
 
Swap -  At the end of two years there must be a referendum to give people an option to swap government. In this the second largest group of members to be allowed to form government for remaining two years. This  will allow people to look for alternative if one government has failed miserably. Also this will keep pressure on first government to perform well and not to take complete term for granted. 

Development model - The country must develop and adopt a development model for basic units village, small city, metro city and district. This development model should include successful schemes tried and tested within country or abroad for example housing and other construction, roads, traffic, water harvesting, water and electricity distribution, waste disposal, security, sanitation, utility services, environment protection etc. These models must be replicated for time bound, cost effective and homogenous development.

Commissions -  The prominent bodies must be in the form of independent commissions for more efficient functioning. Like Election Commission this should includes commissions for police, bureaucrats, intelligence, vigilance, lokpal, judiciary etc.

Methodology – Constant working on developing and improving a working system based on government public partnership. The Federations will be the active link between people and government.

Rashtra Sabha and The Federations – Federations of prominent and experienced people in various fields which will work to bridge the gap between government and common people. These will coordinate with government to improve policy making and effectiveness of governance. These will help to effectively carry public’s voice, needs and problems to various government ministries. Further these can suggest various steps towards improvement and monitor real implementation of schemes.  These federations will interact constantly with representatives of Panchayats at village level and Heads of RWA (Resident Welfare Associations) at city level. They will work on the basis suggestions and feedback from general public in the form of referendums. Then only it will become the Voice of India. The recommendations of these federations must be binding on the governments and law makers. The Federations collectively must be called Rashtra Sabha. The way Gram Sabha is supposed to monitor Gram Panchayat, Rashtra Sabha must monitor working of various governments and institutions.

-          Federation for developments of science and technology

-          Federation for developments of laws and constitution

-          And other similar federations

Formation  – These federations will be formed by the public through the process of online & mobile poll.

Membership

-  Primary membership will be open to persons of the respective fields

-  Secondary membership  – This will be formed by prominent people of the field given at least 10 years to it and risen high. The size can be 1 / million / state  with a 2 year nomination by online & mobile poll.

This system if implemented can improve efficiency & effectiveness of governance, will improve transparency & accountability, will eradicate problems of the country and will help India to develop to be No 1.
